Dialog Box Command line to Safely unplug or eject a hardware

While ejecting a USB hardware device on your notification bar, your computer hangs in a second and you keep on clicking and clicking until it never shows. Is there a backdoor or tricks that we can do to stop the hardware and wait until Windows notifies you that it is safe to do so unplug the device from your computer?

Backdoor or another way to unplug or eject a device

- Open the Run Window by pressing Win + R

- Enter the following command:

Rundll32 Shell32.dll,Control_RunDLL HotPlug.dll

As shown, you just need to select the device from the list and click Stop. Wait until Windows says that it is safe to remove the device from the computer.

Using the Command prompt to Access “Recent files” Folder Path

The windows system saves document shortcuts in the user profile after a file or document was used. Lets dig on how to access Recent Items list location using command prompt.

Let’s start how to go into the location of your login user.

echo %userprofile%

C:\>echo %userprofile%
C:\Users\LawrenceAlbert

C:\>

Recent Items Folder Path

%userprofile%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Recent\

just copy and paste the user profile location above as shown:

C:\Users\LawrenceAlbert\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Recent\

Finally, use the change directory command to go into the folder location.

cd \Users\LawrenceAlbert\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Recent

That’s it!

Group policy editor is one of the powerful tools inside your Professional version of Windows that can make changes inside your registry without dealing with those dangerous task. Same with the program called WinBubble.
